FOUNDER, CEO, EXEC. BRAND DIRECTOR

Samm Sawyer

Samm Sawyer was raised in Small Town, North Carolina in an entrepreneurial household. Growing up watching her dad manage his custom home business, Samm adopted the ideology of taking dreams and building them into tangible realities. She crafted her first website and began down the road of graphic design at the age of 11. Samm’s life slowly evolved into an immersive world of content creation, teaching, and the founding of Samm Sawyer Media, now known of course as SSM Creative Collective.

Digital Marketing Director

Marisa Moore

Marisa first started with us in the summer of 2021 as an intern, but has since become our most recent full-time member at SSM Creative Collective! She holds a BA and MA in English from the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she studied literature and professional writing. At SSM, Marisa writes copy, creates graphics, and manages accounts for many different clients. She also writes blogs for the SSM website! Marisa was born in Indiana but has spent most of her life enjoying the beautiful beach town of Wilmington. You can find her reading spooky books, going to the movies, or playing the coolest (and nerdiest) board games with her friends.

Communications Coordinator

Caroline Clemmons

Caroline is SSM’s Communications Coordinator! She works closely with Samm to keep the collective running smoothly. Caroline was born and raised here in beautiful Wilmington, NC, and recently graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She has a big passion for home decor and design, so when she’s not working at SSM, you can probably find Caroline working on her online home decor business, Casa Peach Collective!

Content Coordinator

Brenna Keenan

Brenna Keenan stumbled into the world of Marketing when she decided to venture into blogging. An avid writer for the majority of her life, she learned her graphic design tactics through her experience in yearbook and was the Editor in Chief her senior year of high school. Brenna received her Associate of Arts degree with a focus in Marketing & Public Relations in 2012, then took time to explore her passions before pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in 2016. Choosing a Bachelor’s of Science degree track in Business Communications, she has always been business-minded with creativity at the forefront. She has built over ten custom websites, written articles and exposés for countless companies and clients, and has built marketing and branding strategies for a plethora of clientele. When she isn’t in front of a computer, she is traveling with her partner and two fur babies, hiking, exploring, and reading all the while.

JUNIOR CONTENT DESIGNER/STRATEGIST

Emma is our Junior Content Designer/Strategist here at SSM! Born in southern Indiana and raised in the port city of Wilmington, she grew up with a passion for the arts. In 2023, she graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Arts and a minor in Computer Science. At SSM, Emma designs graphics, manages websites, and is one of our Social Media Strategists. She spends her free time playing video games, 3D modeling, and drawing.
