My time interning at SSM was extremely instrumental in helping me navigate where I wanted to be in the professional world. I was exposed to all things social media marketing and grew a great passion from day 1! I still reference all the things I learned at SSM today in my graduate school courses and in my current marketing role. I loved being a part of such a strong woman team and everyone there made my time interning at SSM a great experience and provided me with a skill set that became extremely useful in my career. I began interning for SSM Creative Collective in 2021 as part of my professional writing curriculum at UNCW and I've since become a full-time member! My internship here gave me an opportunity to put the writing and communication skills I had been developing in the English department to real-world use. Before I started, I had no experience in digital marketing and I wouldn't have even thought it was for me if it weren't for this internship. I learned what I wanted out of a professional work environment (collaborative, creative teams!) and I was able to get my foot in the door. 10/10, would do again ;)

During my time as an intern at SSM Creative Collective I had many opportunities to explore the world of online business, marketing and communication, gain insight into the administrative side of small business, strengthen my writing and proofreading skills, put my creativity to use, ask questions and receive feedback, and get inspired by a business-savvy woman with an inspirational drive.
